(Well, there were some on friday when she got given flowers and we got cake!) Oh yeah, I did forget to mention, WE GOT CAKE ON FRIDAY! It was very nice and I even feel sorry for those who didn't get to taste it! I'm sure there will be lots and lots of emotions and tears tomorrow. I hope you don't get TOO emotional otherwise you won't enjoy Tuesday, our last day. Good luck to year 6 and let's hope they don't cry TOO much! Let's look on the bright side and be glad that somebody is still running the website! And Mrs Littlewood did say she would come back for special days! GOOD LUCK for those who will cry tomorrow and I hope you will stop soon afterwards!

| Lolli/Lauren | 02 May 2008 19:20:36 |
Thankyou Mrs Penniston, I was just wondering what it would be like to run a website! Is it hard work? I'm having a go at designing things at home in my notebooks. I'll let you know if I have any good ideas at school. What I meant was you don't have to display them for everyone else to see! Thanks, Lolli xxx (Lauren Bleakley) !!!
| Mrs Penniston | 02 May 2008 12:09:49 |
Sorry Lolli, I misunderstood your previous message as you said it didn't need to go on the site. At the moment I run the site by myself but I get lots of ideas from different people, so if you have some ideas about something new for the website let me know.
| Lolli | 01 May 2008 18:00:57 |
Mrs Penniston, I keep on asking the same question but noone will give me an answer! Does anyone help you with this site? If so, how old do you have to be?

Thank you Mrs Watling for bringing this to our attention, we are looking at what went wrong with cascade system and ensure that we get it right next time. Your idea for starting at the bottom and top is good. The system does work, but relies on the parents to call the next person and ensure their home details are up todate.
| Michael | 11 March 2008 20:29:08 |
Hello it is Michael, ex year 6. I hope you have a good school day. I now go to the Amersham school. How is it going at your school? I hope it is going well. As I said I hope it is going well at your school and I hope you all have a nice day at school
| Lolli (Lauren Class 4) | 11 March 2008 18:33:03 |
I think this website is very well organised, much better than others which I have surfed/investigated!
| Sally Watling | 10 March 2008 22:19:11 |
Just a suggestion following todays postponed year 5 trip to Henley. There were a number of people who were not aware that it had been cancelled, so the Round Robin failed again. Have to say that being a W the message never gets through. Could the contact list be started from the bottom aswel as the top, then everyone gets a better chance of a call and getting the message.
| David, Class 6 | 05 March 2008 17:21:00 |
I can't wait till the PGL trip hope everyone is looking forward to it too :-)

Well done to all the children who turned up at school today dressed up as book characters. It was lovely to see that everyone had made so much effort and there were some fantastic costumes. James was there with his giant peach; Jack Sparrows galore; Snow Whites; Cinderellas; Woodys (from Toy Story); Sherlock Holmes; Mr Tumnus; Anne of Green Gables; Shrek; Winnie the Witch; and of course Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny took time out from Hogwarts to visit Chesham Bois! The balloon debate was great (as it always is) and I feel very privileged to be a 'Very, Very Important Person' and help out with the judging.
| Sue Grice | 17 October 2007 23:11:12 |
I just wanted to say thank you for setting up creche facilities for the parents evening on Tuesday & to Mrs Groves for running it. It made the whole experience so much easier and it's great to see such "family friendly" ideas in place.
| Mrs Penniston | 09 October 2007 19:35:48 |

Hello from Australia, I went to this school for 2-3 years in 1956/57. My mum (nee Jean Cook) who is now 85, went to the same school as a child. We lived in Lexham Gardens. I saw the school in 2000 when I re-visited Engalnd for the first time. I have 3 brothers one (Keith), also went to this school. Thanks for allowing me to visit & leave my comments, Philip Bradshaw, Western Austraia.
| Mrs Penniston | 02 October 2007 09:53:22 |
It's always great to see messages in our guestbook from parents and pupils. Are you a new parent or child at the school? How are you getting on? We'd love to hear from you. We also love to hear your ideas for improving the website or suggestions for the school. Check out the Parents' Postbox to see some of the ideas put forward already. Also don't forget the Chesham Bois Prayer Page, this has been recently updated.

I have just spent a very enjoyable day painting in class 2's classroom - but it was a shame there were only 4 of us there! I would encourage everyone to join in over the next 2 weekends, as so much more could be done - the classroom looks great and I hope Mrs Taylor likes it!

Firstly, thank you to all of Class 6 who have had an amazing last term at Chesham Bois including a residential trip, The Jungle Book Show and the Citizenship Award. You have been amazing and are a credit to the school. I wish you the very best of luck in your new schools (don’t forget to visit us or send us messages to the guestbook to let us know how you are doing).

Hi everyone. Sorry I am not here today as I have tonsillitis. It is REALLY horrible as I had to have an injection and some horrible medicine. I would just like to say goodbye to Mrs Wagner as I had her for two years and goodbye to some of my year six friends and I am sorry I am not here.
| Sue Grice | 16 July 2007 23:29:12 |
Dear everyone who put on such a magnificent afternoon tea for the school helpers – thank you for such a lovely afternoon. It was my first helper’s tea so I didn't quite know what to expect and to see the whole school put on such a great show was really great. I was especially impressed by the choir - beautiful songs beautifully sung - they brought a real lump to my throat. Well done everyone. I'm hoping for an invite to next year's tea already!
| Stephen Young | 13 July 2007 08:06:31 |

Hi Guys | |
| Gizzy class 3 | 25 May 2007 20:21:30 |
I really like Mrs Webb because when I was in year 2, I performed at the CAF( Chesham Arts Festival) and she wrote a poem for me!!!!!!!!!!!! Also she is really nice and if you have done something really horrible to someone, she will never shout at you! I bet you even the nicest teachers in the world would shout if you did something really naughty (NOTE: This is a shorter version of my comment, I think that mrs Webb is Great) One more quick thing, I think that Mrs Brown is really nice!) One last thing ( and I mean ONE last thing) I don't want to move into year 4 because I really like Mrs Wagner even though Mrs Littlewood is really nice
| Louisa Fisher | 25 May 2007 16:55:51 |

Chesham bois is the best school ever!
| Jake | 09 February 2007 08:23:11 |
I agree with Izzy & Alice. We really appreciated that people went through trouble driving round the snowman which is enormous and infront of someone's garage!
| Toby and Imogen C | 09 February 2007 07:44:56 |
No school - oh no. That means we won't have the sausage sizzle!

| Mrs Penniston | 08 February 2007 17:54:39 |
Mrs Brown is monitoring the weather conditions. As soon as a decision is made I will update the website. It would be advisable to check the website before setting out in the morning.
| Mrs McElwee | 08 February 2007 16:41:44 |
Mrs Penniston, do you think is likely to be closed again tomorrow, freezing fog and black ice could apparantly make the roads quite precarious?
| Luke Class 6 | 08 February 2007 15:50:27 |
just like to say 2day I made a snowman and sprayed it blue1
| Mrs Penniston | 08 February 2007 15:46:27 |
It's good to know the website has been a useful source of information. We have had over 130 hits today!
| Mrs McElwee | 08 February 2007 11:57:31 |
By the time we got the phone call to say that school is closed today we had already known for half an hour because we'd been watching the web site! I hope everyone is enjoying the snow
| Mrs Penniston | 08 February 2007 10:10:38 |
I am sure everyone is making the most of the snow. Why not let us know what you did today in the snow, did you build a snowman? You could even send in your photos or draw a picture. I've just been outside to watch my boys playing and it's wonderful, there is no traffic noise just the sound of children's voices and laughter all around.
| Disgruntled Mother (only joking) | 08 February 2007 08:05:13 |
The school is closed! You mean to say I have to stay at home and play with my children in the snow all day!
| David M | 08 February 2007 07:59:04 |
I love school but I love snow even more and I've been watching the site all morning to see if the weather would give me a day off. Thanks to whoever updated the front page message. (Dad wrote this).
